I am a business executive with experience across strategy, operations, finance and growth. My work has focused on building businesses, improving performance and making better decisions in complex operating environments.

I am particularly interested in how organisations grow, how leaders allocate capital and attention, and why some businesses build lasting capability while others struggle to turn strategy into execution.

Much of my thinking sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. I am interested not only in what organisations decide to do, but in the systems, incentives, structures and leadership choices that determine whether those decisions translate into results.

Writing is one way I examine these questions. It allows me to test ideas, simplify complexity and engage with subjects such as business, governance, finance, leadership and the changing nature of work.

Outside the corporate environment, I am also building a commercial cattle operation. Farming has reinforced many of the same ideas that interest me in business: patience, capital allocation, disciplined decision-making and the importance of building for the long term.

Across both business and farming, I am drawn to the same question: what does it take to build something that can endure?
