Experience
My professional work has developed across finance, commercial leadership, operations, strategy and business development, with experience spanning Namibia’s retail, FMCG and automotive sectors. I operate at executive level, working across complex business environments where growth, financial performance and disciplined execution have to come together.
My perspective is grounded in a strong financial foundation, including Big Four audit training and executive finance experience within subsidiaries of JSE-listed organisations. Over time, that foundation has broadened into commercial and operational leadership, strategic growth and board-facing decision-making.
Business & Strategy
My work has included strategic planning, market expansion, business case evaluation and the development of new growth opportunities, with a focus on translating long-term objectives into practical execution.
I am particularly interested in the point where strategy meets reality: how opportunities are evaluated, how resources are committed and how organisations turn an intended direction into measurable results.
Leadership & Management
I have led customer-facing businesses and commercial teams, with responsibility spanning people, performance, operations and financial outcomes.
These experiences have shaped my view that leadership is ultimately about creating clarity, accountability and the conditions for people to perform. Strong organisations require more than good strategy; they require disciplined execution, capable teams and leaders willing to make difficult decisions when necessary.
Finance & Commercial Decision-Making
My early career in audit and subsequent finance leadership roles developed a strong analytical foundation that continues to shape how I approach commercial decisions.
I am particularly interested in capital allocation, performance measurement and the relationship between financial discipline and sustainable growth. Numbers matter not simply as a record of what has happened, but as a tool for understanding a business, testing assumptions and making better decisions about what comes next.
Governance & Institutional Thinking
My professional work includes regular exposure to executive committees, boards and governance structures, including the preparation and presentation of strategic proposals and business cases for board consideration.
This has developed a growing interest in board effectiveness, institutional resilience and the role governance plays in long-term organisational performance.
I am particularly interested in how organisations create the structures, disciplines and decision-making processes that allow them to endure beyond individual leaders and short-term circumstances.
A Consistent Thread
Across finance, operations, commercial leadership and strategy, the common thread in my work has been an interest in how organisations perform, grow and build lasting capability.
I value work that is thoughtful, demanding and oriented toward lasting outcomes.
